Good news arrives for the players of Cult of the Lamband it is that the popular game will have a small update sometime in 2023, and this week, the developer Massive Monster showed some of the plans for that update.
Those plans include a number of new features, one of which will be heavy attacks that will differ depending on the type of weapon you’re using. A broader overview of other features was also shared, with more news to come later.
The “Main Content Update” caused by massive monster was first mentioned on Thursday when the developer said it would have news soon, and Cult of the Lamb players didn’t have to wait long to see the results of that tease. An in-game clip showed off the new strong attacks that will apparently have a bit more wind up in exchange for more damage and unique effects.
Within the thread on Twitter, additional gameplay clips showed strong single attacks that are used by holding down the attack button. The heavy attack of the sword is used to take out crowds of enemies around you, the dagger shoots a line of blades that fall from the sky, and the ax is thrown before coming back at you like a boomerang.
Closing out the first preview of the Core Content Update, Massive Monster said that this 2023 update will include depth, difficulty, accessibility options, and quality of life changes, as well as “features that many of you have requested.”
However, players won’t have to wait until the update comes out to see some changes to the game, as Massive Monster said that there will be another update in the new year to address the issues that players have been reporting.
“But first, we have another round of fixes scheduled for the new year. It focuses on resolving many issues for console players,” said Massive Monster. “After that, we’ll work to release the Main Content Update as soon as we can! We hope you have a very Lamby New Year!”
The Cult of the Lamb main content update does not yet have a set release date, but is expected to be available sometime in 2023.
