The Civil Guard has arrested the popular Catalan rapper Cyril Kamer at Malaga airport. The reason for the arrest would be an alleged crime of robbery with violence.
Sources from the Civil Guard have confirmed to the EFE news agency that the arrest has taken place. in the framework of an open investigation by the Mossos d’Esquadraaccording to information published by the newspaper ABC.
The artist, of Cameroonian origin but born in Barcelona, in the Besós neighborhood, is one of the most popular singers of the moment, with more than a million reproductions per month of his creations on different digital platforms and with performances at various music events.

Through Tiktok, @ayoubelk3, has posted a video of the rapper’s arrest where he is seen as a wife and surrounded by Civil Guard agents.
The video also shows a screenshot of a text published on Instagram by what would be the rapper’s representative where he writes: “At the moment I can’t explain many things about what is happening. The only thing I want to make clear is that Cyril is being accused of a cause of which he is innocent.
“We are moving air, land and sea together with our team and lawyers to clarify this situation as soon as possible”he adds, along with the hashtag #Freecyril.
