The fourth hearing of the trial for the murder of Fernando Báez Sosa began in the Courts of Dolores. In front of the Oral Criminal Court No. 1 there is already Tomas Bidonde, one of the witnesses to the event.
For the first time, the defendants entered without a mask, with their faces uncovered in front of the judges. Statements from the police, other witnesses to the event, a young tourist who assisted the victim and two merchants are also expected.

“The testimonies were clear and eloquent.” Fernando Burlando, lawyer for the parents of Fernando Báez Sosa, affirmed this Thursday that the witnesses who have appeared so far in the trial have been “clear and eloquent”, for which he considered that “they circles are closing” on the responsibility of the eight rugby players accused of the crime of the 18-year-old boy, beaten to death in Villa Gesell.
Before entering the courts, Burlando stated that he arrived at the trial with “good expectations”, but stressed that “he did not know that they would be covered so quickly” and that “he did not know that the witnesses would be so clear and eloquent”.
On the other hand, the lawyer referred to how Fernando’s parents are experiencing the trial: “It is a torment for the family to see the images” of what happened.

He launched an insult when, in front of the Dolores Courts, he was consulted during an intermission about a rumor that circulated this Wednesday morning about the rugby players accused of Fernando’s crime: they would have laughed when Pablo Ventura entered to testify as a witness.
“I am a very short time away from starting to insult everyone. I ask: what are you laughing at, you sons of p…?” Burlando told the press in response to the question of whether the rumor that won the street was true. It must be remembered that Ventura was initially falsely identified by the defendants as the one who had assaulted the victim and for this reason he was imprisoned for four days.
