Day Three: Cultural and Community Connection this Wednesday in Philadelphia

A perfect day to connect with the community, art and learn about the history of drinking water service in Philadelphia.

Woodmere Art Museum continues to honor his vision with WOW, Woodmere’s Outdoor Wonder, which seeks to inspire creativity, learning, and self-expression through experiences with local art and artists from Philadelphia and the region.

This museum is located in a stone mansion at 9201 Germantown Avenue and will be open from 11:00 am to 5:00 pm.

This is a free exhibit that weaves together the history of more than 200 years, Fairmount Water served as a pump station from 1815 to 1909, an aquarium from 1911 to 1962, as a Kelly Pool until 1972. Today it serves as a public education destination with the objective of deepening the understanding of the connection between water, social justice and public health.

The Fairmount Water Works is located at 640 Waterworks Dr in Philadelphia and will be operating from 11:00 am to 5:00 pm

Come celebrate the grand opening and learn about the revitalization plans for the Murphy Recreation Center in partnership with Rebuild Philadelphia and ¡Live! Philadelphia casino and hotel, Welcome America invites the entire community to enjoy live entertainment, games, giveaways, food trucks and more.

This will be at the Block Party located at 300 W Street in Philadelphia from 3:00 pm to 7:00 pm
