Once again the DC Universe surprise us, and it is that, this time it is about to become much more terrifying. Today, during the ComicsPRO convention, DC officially announced Knight Terrorsa new event that will impact the publisher’s comics later this summer.
This is a mainline miniseries, which formally begins in July, will be written by joshua williamson, with art by Howard Porter, Guillem March, and more. Multiple additional two-issue miniseries from currently unknown creative teams will be announced at a later date, each featuring a DC Super Hero or Super-Villain facing his worst nightmares in a “Nightmare Realm”.
Now the best thing will be for the superheroes to be careful, since anything that happens to them in the realm of nightmares it will also be reflected in the Awakened World. In Knight Terrors, Batman, Superman and Wonder Woman they find the body of one of their first enemies in the Hall of Justice.
Their investigation takes them beyond the land of the living, beyond the land of the dead, into a realm of nightmares. The only way to save the world is to enlist the help of an unlikely hero, Deadman.
“I love horror comics, and it’s been great to bring the energy to Dawn of DC. Knight Terrors showcases the terrifying side of our heroes as a new villain confronts them with their worst nightmares,” Williamson said in a statement. “It’s a fun and horrifying event that brings together all of DC’s heroes and villains, along with a few surprises!”
To kick off Knight Terrors, DC is releasing a free special Comic Book Day edition of Dawn of DC Knight Terrors on May 6. After a long night of fighting crime with his father, Batman, damian wayne sleep. But horrors invade his adolescent dreams.
Damian has seen a lot, but there is something different about this nightmare. In that book, Williamson and Porter will be joined by legendary artist Chris Bachalo, who is returning to DC for the first time in over 20 years – quite an event!
