The franchise Back to the Future is an iconic brand that was born with the series of films since the 80’s has positioned itself as one of the favorites, and that contrary to other iconic titles, it has not launched a revival, and despite rumors, we have to tell you, that you will not you should have your hopes that the concept will return soon.

Especially after the franchise’s official Twitter account has been active, and cleared up the situation about an alleged animated reboot that was said to be on the way.

And it is that, although it is difficult to imagine that Back to the Future returns without the basic elements of the franchise Michael J Fox Y Christopher Lloydan animated series would understandably make it much easier for them to get involved rather than a full-blown live-action adventure.

But, responding to unsubstantiated reports that a reboot was on the way, the Back to the Future account responded with a GIF of Lloyd saying, “It’s not happening.”

This debunking of an initial report had some fans wondering if it was a possibility, to which the franchise account responded with a Michael J. Fox GIF that read, “The answer is no.”

Even though the series hasn’t gained a high-profile revival in recent years, the franchise has still found a way to keep the concept fresh for younger audiences.

Starting in 2015, IDW Publishing has released dozens of comics exploring the new adventures of Marty McFly Y Doc Brownwhile Back to the Future: The Musical offered an endearing and entertaining reimagining of the source material.

While Fox is unlikely to return to the franchise, he previously shared how he might see the concept brought back to life: “I actually thought if they were to do the movie again, they should do it with a girl like Marty,” Fox recalled to Entertainment Tonight in October. “There is something in [la franquicia] that connects with people at all levels. I feel like it will come back.”

Despite Fox’s endorsement of this approach, given the bullying suffered by 2016’s attempts to revive Ghostbusters from trolls, a female-focused spin on Back to the Future would surely suffer a similar fate.

While the original writer Bob Gale previously reflected on why he believed we’ll never reboot the property again: “What people don’t always understand about Back to the Future and what really makes it work. Back to the Future works because it’s this family’s story, and time travel is an element of it, but you’re totally with those characters.”

“It’s a great dramatization of a moment that every human being has in their life, which is the moment when we’re kids and all of a sudden we realize, ‘Oh my gosh, my parents were kids once too.’ By the time you’re five or six years old, you look at your parents and they’re these divine figures, and they don’t age, from what you can see. They must have always been there, and then all of a sudden you start to frame that, ‘My parents were once children.’”

“That’s the power of Back to the Future. It’s the human stuff. It’s not the logistics of time travel because, frankly, you look at a series of time travel, both the things they’ve done on TV and the things they’ve done. done in the comics, and they fall into this trap of using time travel as a plot device.”
