Mexico City.- Bernardo de la Garza, former director of Conade, was announced by the Mexican Olympic Committee as the Chief of Mission for the Paris 2024 Games.

De la Garza was director of the Conade at the London 2012 Olympic Games, where Mexico achieved a historic participation with a gold medal in men’s soccer, holds in diving, archery, taekwondo and weightlifting. The Parisian joust will take place next year, from July 26 to August 11.

Mexico has so far classified swimmer Miguel de Lara in the 200-meter breaststroke; the walker Alegna González has a march towards Paris; and Citlali Cristian Moscote, in the marathon.

Former taekwondoin and Olympic medalist Víctor Estrada will be the Chief of Mission of the Mexican delegation to the Central American and Caribbean Games in San Salvador, which are held from June 23 to July 8 of this year. Mexico is currently champion of the Central American tournament that will be held for the third time in El Salvador.

And the Sydney 2000 Olympic medalist, Fernando Platas, will be Mexico’s Chief of Mission for the Santiago 2023 Pan American Games, which will take place from October 20 to November 5.
