Actor Quinn Redeker, known for his roles in The Fires of Love and in Days and lives has just passed away at the age of 86.

Quinn K. Redeker, who acted in soap operas Days and lives and The Fires of Love died at the age of 86 on December 20, his agent announced to CNN.

Redeker was best known to viewers for having played between 1979 and 1987 the role of Alex Marshall in 850 episodes of the soap opera Days and lives.

He had also appeared in more than 200 episodes of the other flagship and inexhaustible soap opera of American television, The Fires of Love.

Oscar nominee

A well-known face to series fans in the 1960s and 1970s, Quinn K. Redeker starred in the most popular series of the time: Bonanza, kojak, The Three Billion Man or $200 plus fees.

Quinn K. Redeker was also a screenwriter and contributed to the writing of Journey to the End of Hell by Michael Cimino. He had been nominated for an Oscar for his work on this landmark 1970s film about the Vietnam War.

In the cinema, Quinn K. Redeker has starred in films as varied as The Three Stooges vs. Hercules (1962) and The Electric Rider (1979) with Robert Redford. One of his last screen appearances was in 2012 as President Reagan in the film Miracle in Alaska.
