Death of Man in Downtown Portland Shooting

Three people were shot, and one died in southeast Portland early Sunday morning, according to the Portland Police Bureau.

PPB said just after 4 a.m. Sunday, officers responded to Southeast Foster Road at Southeast 86th Avenue. When they arrived, they found three people shot.

One person died at the scene. The other two victims were taken to a hospital with life-threatening injuries.

Police did not say if any arrests have been made or if there was a suspect description.

East Precinct officers were dispatched at approximately 4:08 a.m. Sunday on reports of a shooting.

Officials say when officers arrived, they found three people with gunshot wounds.

One of the victims was declared deceased at the scene and two other victims were taken to an area hospital.

Portland Police Homicide Detectives responded to conduct the investigation.

Officials say the area around Foster and 86th Avenue will be closed for several hours while Criminalists from the Forensic Evidence Unit and detectives process the scene.
