At the same time as Aurora 23, the largest military exercise in Sweden in 30 years, hundreds demonstrated against it and Swedish NATO membership in Gothenburg. The police estimate that just under 500 people were present.
According to the Armed Forces, the exercise is being carried out in order to be able to face an armed attack in Sweden, isn’t that reasonable given how worried it is in Europe?
– More military is rarely what creates the conditions for peace, says Tor Härnqvist, organizer.

During the demonstration, several lines in central Gothenburg were affected.
– We were prepared for the demonstration and the changes that were made, says Carina Kjellgren, disturbance coordinator at Västtrafik.
