DeSantis fires his election campaign manager

DeSantis, on whom a group of conservatives had pinned their hopes after last year’s midterm elections, trails Trump by nearly 40 points in the polls, according to RealClearPolitics.

Trump is the clear favorite among Republicans for the primaries despite criminal indictments from the left and the extreme left in a political persecution of a former president unprecedented in the history of the country. Trump and millions of conservatives have called the radicals’ actions a “witch hunt.”

Trump boasts that he has raised millions of additional dollars thanks to the accusations against him and the media attention they arouse, as a way of discrediting and annihilating him politically, but which have had the opposite effect on millions of his followers.

The changes to Ron DeSantis’s campaign team were announced days ago, before the first debate of the Republican primary, scheduled for August 23.

James Uthmeier, DeSantis’ chief of staff, replaces Generra Peck.

The shakeup comes after DeSantis laid off more than a third of his staff.

“We are excited about these additions,” the campaign team said in a statement.

The winner of these primaries will face the Democratic presidential candidate in November 2024, probably President Joe Biden.

Reelected overwhelmingly as governor of Florida in November 2022, Ron DeSantis hopes to convince the United States with his radical positions on immigration, abortion, or LGBT+ issues. But on the ground they reproach him for a lack of charisma.
