Ahead of the launch of Destiny 2’s Lightfall expansion, which brings players to the cyberpunk world of Neptune, players can look forward to an accommodating armor mod update. The saga is expected to come to an end next year with The Final Shape DLC.
Bungie fills players’ pockets with standard mods
Your future visit to Ada-1 will be a little different than before. The armor mod provider no longer offers standard mods – all players now receive them automatically. With this, Bungie wants to “give all players the opportunity to enjoy all mods in their current state” and allow them to experiment with the modifications and find their favorite combination.
In addition, players are no longer tied to the arbitrariness of the mod rotation and can make their builds much more flexible.
Bungie tweeted: “As a foretaste of what’s to come in Lightfall, we’ve got some exciting updates coming up. Tomorrow, all base armor mods will be unlocked for everyone! With major build changes coming in Lightfall, we want everyone giving the opportunity to enjoy all mods in their current state.”

Then, with the next patch, Bungie will lower the cost of Trials of Osiris and Gambit weapons and armor to 25 legendary shards and the price of Adept weapons to 50 legendary shards. More details on upcoming updates in the next This Week At Bungie post.
In Lightfall there should then be further adjustments to buildcrafting.
