In the early hours of this Tuesday, 26-year-old Walter Ariel Barreto, who was staying at the Gobernador Roca Police Station for an act of homicide since March 8, 2022, died at the local hospital, after being urgently transferred upon being found by a cellmate hanging from a bathroom vent.
The guard agents were alerted by a detainee who was in the same cell as the victim, stating that he was in the bathroom with a piece of cloth around his neck and another tied to the vent grill. Quickly, the troops took him down from the place and together with an ambulance they transferred him to the hospital where he ceased to exist.
On the other hand, the Scientific Police carried out the pertinent tests at the scene and the doctor ruled death due to a secondary traumatic cardiorespiratory arrest due to hanging.
The Examining Court No. 2 of Jardín América intervenes and ordered that the medical-legal autopsy be carried out.
