US former Olympic athlete and reality TV personality Caitlyn Jenner (73) mourns the loss of her beloved mother. She shared the sad news on Instagram.

In Friday’s emotional post, Jenner shared several photos of her mother Esther and explained how much she will miss her. “I am heartbroken to report that my mom passed away peacefully yesterday morning,” she wrote.

Jenner: “Losing a mother is unique. She is the only person who has loved me my entire life. I will miss her terribly. (…) I love you mom.”

The 73-year-old explained that her mother had a full life with many experiences and would have celebrated her 97th birthday in just a few weeks. In the photos she posted, the deceased is beaming towards the camera. One of the photos shows her mother on her 95th birthday.

Jenner apparently a Trump fan again!

Although the 73-year-old sees herself as part of the queer community, she has been sympathetic to anti-LGBT former US President Donald Trump again for a few weeks.

She wrote about this photo on her Instagram page in early April: “The most resilient man in America. He never loses sight of what is important and what is at stake – the American people.”

Little left for your own community

Interesting: Almost five years ago, she suddenly stopped supporting Trump. He had “let the LGBTQ community down”. Jenner wrote in an October 2018 comment in the Washington Post that she no longer believes that the President will stand up for the interests of lesbian, gay and trans people. Jenner then: “I was wrong! Donald Trump is relentlessly attacking the trans community.”

︎ In 2021, however, the Republican tried to become the next governor of California with Trump-like positions – and failed miserably: in the election that was supposed to lead to the dismissal of California Governor Gavin Newsom, she got just 1.1 percent of all votes.

The Californians apparently found they deserve better than a trans woman banning trans girls from school sports wanted and made her distaste for the homeless clear, as Jenner did in her campaign.

Before her transition to womanhood, Jenner won the gold medal in the decathlon at the 1976 Summer Olympics. Later, she was also part of the reality show Keeping Up with the Kardashians, which aired in the United States from 2007 to 2021. In 2015 she came out as a trans woman.
