Thirty-five kilometers of flat roads, mostly wide and paved, await runners, between Savignano sul Rubicone and Cesena, in the Emilia-Romagna region.
Could Remco Evenepoel repeat his coup de force of the first stage, that he had seen him immediately take the pink jersey of leader of the general classification after the inaugural time trial?
