Guest at Hohenweiler New Year’s Eve party freaked out, victim was a 65-year-old pensioner
New Year’s Eve – several friends wanted to celebrate the year 2022 together. Suddenly there was a commotion in front of the hut in Hohenweiler. A 65-year-old pensioner, one of the guests, was badly injured on the ground, abrasions and a broken tibia and fibula. He and his son stated that one of the other guests had kicked in with rough wooden shoes, so-called “Hölzlern” and seriously injured the victim.
Drank some
The 43-year-old construction worker denies this and claims that the pensioner fell of his own accord. In addition, defender Olivia Lerch doubts that a drunk with two per mille in the blood could cause such serious injuries from a standing start. The coroner Walter Rabl, however, explains that this is very possible. The background to the whole misery is unclear, allegedly it was about a bottle of whiskey. In any case, the drunkard was sentenced to eight months probation plus a fine of 1,920 euros for serious bodily harm. The judgment is final.
