Cosimo Citiolo (41) did not want to leave the camp with bad feelings. At least not to others. Djamila Rowe (55) was the first to vote and chose “correct” because she suspected something “with knowledge”. She was motivated. “I do everything. I only have problems with diving and my head under water.” And what happened: head under water and snorkel in your mouth, accompanied by animals. But that didn’t happen. Djamila broke off the first attempt after almost half a minute, the second even after 22 seconds, there was not a single living being (apart from her) in the tank. Djamila screwed up the “Costa Cordalis memory test” (unforgettable the iconic picture with Costa, who later became the first king of the jungle with a fat water spider on his diving goggles!) And was inconsolable: “Shh…, I’m so sorry,” she quarreled with himself. “If only they would have showered me with sh… or slime or intestines, but that of all things.” Well, Djamila, a rogue who accuses RTL of being bad. Or as she said herself: “Yes yes, an experience of a lifetime.”

She returned to the camp dejected and was immediately comforted by Gigi. “She’s one of the strongest women I’ve had the pleasure of meeting. She doesn’t need to prove anything here anymore,” he said again as a gentleman. After that he had to go himself. “Krass” was the name of his test. His biggest fears were “fish taste and general knowledge”, but he was hot: “Today we eat! I’ll get all the stars and make two more.”

Of course, die-hard IBES fans were also familiar with this test: Gigi was tempted with five delicacies, but rejected them with a hesitant groan and eager sniffing and was then given “Australian specialties” to eat. Best of all: Zietlow “shouldered” the first time and Jan Köppen covered! Big sport!

Gigi really bit through. The sea cucumber with fish slime went well. But too large a part of the pig’s uterus (Gigi: “What is a uterus?” Köppen: “Do you really want to know?”) broke out again. star gone. He chomped down the beach worm with no problem, and he also devoured the goat’s eyes under gore, rattling, moaning and gagging. Unfortunately, the final cocktail of fermented fish spiraled back up the esophagus, like magma in a volcano. It was Lucas’ turn to see to dessert. And by tongue. Only with this he had to unscrew stars from the thread, bedded in the glass coffin between tens of thousands of mealworms and cockroaches as well as two handfuls of rats. Did they miscount?” But Gigi, Jungle’s analyst, had advice: “No, people have realized that he is not real.” And then, still, the cutie: “I wouldn’t have given him the crown, but you, Djamila, I’ll give it to you with all my heart.”

And that’s how it happened, Gigi (“I almost made it, but thanks guys for second place!”) was allowed to cuddle the new queen (now, by the way, after 16 seasons it’s 8:8 between queens and kings) as the first. The first words of the new regent: “Sch…! I’m sick. That can’t be, I’m totally overwhelmed.” She’ll learn to express herself a little more majestically.
