Fan love for the historic DOOM series knows no bounds. Eager to play the first chapter of the shooter saga in multi-monitor, the youtuber Tech Tangents recovered four old DOS PCs and created a special configuration that allowed him to fulfill his dream.

The content creator managed to fulfill his wish by harnessing the processing power of four computers from the 90s to run the same build of DOOM on each of them, but not before reprogramming on MS-DOS the portions of code necessary to allow them to start the game with a multi-screen configuration.

The unique location designed by Tech Tangents uses a central screen and two ‘peripheral’ monitors to embrace a wider viewing distance, with the map rendered on a fourth panel. Thanks to the four PCs used in parallel, the youtuber has thus managed to guarantee himself amuch more immersive gaming experiencealbeit with all the limitations imposed by the definition of the monitors and the graphic potential of the ‘resurrected’ MS-DOS PCs to try their hand at this project.
