Starting out as a villain, he culminated as one of the most renowned heroes in the Dragon Ball saga: it’s Piccolo. This namekian also has its representation in the concepts of Andrew Chiou for the Nike Dunk Low.

Chiou is the art director of the Jordan Brand at Nike, and in his spare time he develops ideas in your Instagram account. He has dedicated several models to series such as Dragon Ball, Pokémon and Sailor Moon, among others.

In the case of Dragon Ball, we’ve already seen iterations featuring characters like Vegeta, Trunks, and Frieza. It’s Piccolo’s turn.

This Namekian warrior made his first appearance in the manga in chapter 161, while he emerged in episode 123 of the anime. He humiliated his rivals in each fight, but as time went by, he showed more honor and compassion.

Eventually, he came to befriend and mentor Gohan.

We are going to analyze the Nike Dunk Low Piccolo, in the concept of Andrew Chiou.

These are the Nike Dunk Low Piccolo shoes, another Dragon Ball concept created by Andrew Chiou

The shoes use elements and colors that represent Piccolo, like the predominant green of the character, the pink with the line of the forearms and the purple of his suit.

The namekian’s cloak is gray in color, like the front panels of the slippers. While the laces are dark blue.

The Nike logo it’s in purple, along with the eyelet and side panels, as well as the interior of the sneaker concept.

Let’s remember that, since the Nike Dunk Low Piccolo is just a concept, the shoes will not go on sale or, at most, they can be customized by Chiou himself.

So we have to wait and see if the Nike company approves its launch in the future.
