During the interview, Toyotaro returned to the appearance of Frieza at the end of the arc which ends the fight between Goku, Vegeta, Granola and the Heaters. According to him, this whole arc was designed to revolve around Frieza without us seeing him, except at the very end. As proof, all the characters staged have a relationship with Frieza at some point in their lives and his name comes up regularly throughout this story. He particularly insists on the fact that from the start, he wanted to make sure that Frieza showed up at the last moment to put an end to this confrontation. By stating all this, the mangaka confirms half-word that the most powerful warrior in the universe who woke up the oracle fish was not Granola, nor Gas who made the wish thanks to the Dragon Balls, but Frieza from the beginning.

Super Hero, a lighter bow?
After returning to the previous arc, Toyotaro tells us about the current, Super Hero arc, which takes place just before the events of the film of the same name. In the interview, we learn that the author found that Goku and Vegeta had been the main characters for too long and that the stories were on too large scales. Instead, he wanted to do something that takes place on Earth and focuses on a hero close to his heart: Trunks. But beware, he insists on the fact that this is a very different character from the Future Trunks that we saw in the Zamasu/Black Goku arc, since the two boys do not share the same character at all. life. This idea of doing a story about Trunks dates from before the announcement of Dragon Ball Super: Super Hero, and Toyotaro even wanted to do a spin-off about him., as well as a superhero story.
