In Kreuzberg, a 21-year-old tried to rob a gas station on Monday night. At around 4:20 a.m. he entered the sales room on Gneisenaustrasse and asked the cashier to give him money, the police said on Monday. He threatened him with a pistol.

After the seller handed over the money, the alleged robber tried to leave the gas station. However, this was not possible because the door to the sales room was locked. He then threatened the 31-year-old cashier again.

In the meantime, however, he had also pulled out a blank pistol, aimed it at the suspect and was then able to flee into an adjoining room. There he made himself safe.

The gas station robber then tried in vain to force open the door. He fired a shot from the pistol and rioted in the gas station. Alarmed police officers arrested the man a short time later in the sales room. (tsp)
