There is very little left for us to play Wild Hearts, the new proposal from Electronic Arts and Koei Tecmo. Wild Hearts is out on February 17th on Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 5, and PC via Steam, Origin, and the Epic Games Store; it has already been confirmed that will not have microtransactions and will receive free DLC later.

Wild Hearts was revealed by Electronic Arts in September of last year, with a trailer that showed us some of the monsters that inhabit its fantastic world. Wild Hearts is set in “The Eastern Lands” and is a game in which you control a monster hunter, proposing a new alternative to Capcom’s Monster Hunter games.

This Wednesday the executive producer of Wild Hearts, Lewis Harvey, held a session of questions and answers in Reddit and confirmed that his game will not have microtransactions, alleviating a concern from the community. Additionally, Lewis confirmed that all of the DLC that Wild Hearts receives will be free and will consist of new Kemonos and more.

All post-launch content will be free, including new Kemono and more. We do not have any plans to implement Microtransactions.” – Lewis Harvey, executive producer of Wild Hearts.

In Wild Hearts players will hunt gigantic monsters called Kemonos and in the Reddit AMA session Lewis confirmed that the game will have 20 Kemonos at launch, as they have focused on quality and not quantity. Lewis also said that they have plans to add more Kemono after its release,

Lewis also said that the game’s endgame, as the content is called after finishing its main campaign, consists of more dangerous variants of the monsters called Kemono Volatiles, taking players to a higher difficulty that they don’t plan to spoil yet.

Finally, the session confirmed that subscribers to EA Play and Xbox Game Pass Ultimate will be able to play a 10-hour trial starting on February 13thso they can play the game from four days before on Xbox Series X | S and PC.
