A total of 71,140 companies were started and the worst development was on Gotland, where the number of new companies decreased by as much as 18 percent.
The only county showing positive figures is Norrbotten with an increase of twelve percent.
“Missing out on potential job creators”
In terms of the number of new limited companies, the decline is four percent in 2022.
“Those who start limited companies often tend to invest more and long-term in their business. With fewer new limited companies, the municipalities are missing out on potential job creators and tax revenue,” says Boo Gunnarson, business expert at Visma Spcs in a press release.
