district of Wesel.
At the end of 2022, the employment agency in the Wesel district counted more unemployed than in the previous year. Now she presented the numbers.

At the end of the year, unemployment in the district of Wesel rose slightly, according to the employment agency. There are seasonal reasons for this: layoffs and expiring employment contracts at the end of the year have an impact, as do weather-related restrictions on outside occupations and company closures at the turn of the year with few new hires, according to the agency. “Even though many companies are currently driving on sight due to the uncertain situation, there is still a need for workers and skilled workers. We therefore look at the existing experience and qualifications of people who register as unemployed and encourage further training if necessary,” says Dominik Blechschmidt, Managing Director of the Wesel Employment Agency. This is all the more important if you don’t have a professional qualification yet.

The numbers are slightly worse than last year
