After retreats, education. President Emmanuel Macron visited the Hérault on April 20 to speak about the condition of teachers. “We must better recognize and better pay our teachers,” he said. For this, the Head of State announced an increase of between “100 and 230 euros net” per month at all career levels. All “without doing an extra hour”, he insisted.
In addition to this salary increase, the president has put forward the “Pact” device, which teachers can choose to join or not. It will consist of better remunerating teachers taking on additional responsibilities such as referent missions, special projects, “Homework done”… For members of “Pacte”, Emmanuel Macron announced an additional increase which could go “up to 500 euros per month”.
