As an act of “good faith” in response to the call made by the Ministry of the Interior (Segob), ejidatarios opened the valve of the Canadian TC Energy gas pipeline to allow the flow of natural gas that is delivered to the CFE to supply the coast of Sinaloa.

Said valve had been closed for eight days by ejidatarios from Guazapares, who are demanding payment of additional compensation to what they had already received for occupying their lands in the Sierra Tarahumara of Chihuahua.

Yesterday, the head of the federal Segob, Adán Augusto launched a call in the morning conference to the residents to release the pipeline.

Martín Ricardo Millanes, legal representative of the dissatisfied community made up of 208 ejidatarios, informed the local media that they answered the call of the Tabasco, with the desire to reach agreements.

He indicated that they are going to Mexico City to start a dialogue table in which Adán Augusto is expected to be present, and that there will also be representatives of the transnational company “TC Energy”, of the Federal Electricity Commission (CFE), and the Secretary of Agrarian, Territorial and Urban Development (Sedatu).

Meanwhile, the Canadian company TC Energy issued the notice of the end of the critical alert that had caused the closure of the valve.
