Mexico City— As an act of “good faith” after the call from the Ministry of the Interior, ejidatarios from Témoris opened yesterday the valve of the Canadian TC Energy gas pipeline, in the Sierra Tarahumara, to allow the supply of natural gas that supplies to the coast of Sinaloa and part of Sonora.

In search of additional compensation (of 60 million dollars) to the one they had already received for occupying their lands, the residents closed the valve nine days ago.

On Thursday, the Secretary of the Interior, Adán Augusto López, launched a call to the residents to release the pipeline.

Martín Ricardo Millanes, legal representative of the dissatisfied community made up of 208 ejidatarios, reported that the withdrawal of the protest was carried out with the desire to reach agreements.

He assured that tomorrow, Sunday, they will travel to Mexico City to establish a dialogue table.

He clarified that the nonconformists will retain possession of the property and the valve with the vigilance and presence in the area of some ejidatarios.
