By 2032, all analogue electricity meters are to be replaced by digital ones. Consumers will initially face higher costs.

Additional bill for new electricity meters
Smart meters are intended to help consumers and optimize the utilization of the power grid. But the new meter types also mean for the consumer higher cost.
