According to him, the demand for oil should reach its world peak within 5 years.

Indeed, at the end of the week, the current owner of Twitter indeed declared on his social network that according to him, the peak oil demand would be reached in 5 years. A declaration which seems however to summarize, in less than 280 characters required on Twitter, the last report of the IEA, the international energy agency.

According to the organization, it is indeed a new paradigm energy that is opening up in the world. Oil would then find itself, in the (very) long term, isolated in the energy market. Forecasts indicate that after peaking in demand in the 2030s, consumption oil should to lower considerably until 2050 and even beyond.
