Elton John auctions off personal items to raise funds for his foundation

MIAMI.- On the occasion of Pride Month LGBTQ+ communitythe British singer Elton John auction off part of her wardrobe on July 7th at the plataforma digital eBay with the aim of allocating the profits to his charity, the Elton John AIDS Foundation.

The information was confirmed by the interpreter himself through a video shared on his social networks.

Elton John said that among the garments that will be available are an iconic leopard print coat from the Saint Laurent fashion house, Gucci loafers with the legend Suck me, and some Versace sweatpants.

“This Pride Month, I’m excited to share my Atlanta treasure trove on eBay, in the hopes that these items inspire you to express your unique spirit and bring you as much joy as they’ve brought me,” she wrote in a statement.

“Whether you’re looking for high-end luxury or something more relaxed, there’s a perfect find for everyone. Even better, every dollar goes to support the Elton John AIDS Foundation’s work to end LGBTQ+ stigma,” she added.

The interpreter Rocket Man such as concert shirts, caps or other items that have been donated by celebrities such as Donatella Versace, Betsey Johnson, Brandi Carlile, and television presenters Robin Roberts and Andy Cohen, to support the cause.

The first stage of the sale was on June 27.

This is not the first time that Elton has opened his closet to sell some of his valuable pieces for altruistic purposes.

The Elton John AIDS Foundation was founded in 1992 and its mission, according to its website, is to raise awareness of the virus and help eradicate it.

We believe that AIDS can be defeated and we are committed to achieving this. That means that all people at risk of contracting HIV, no matter who they are or where they are, should receive compassionate support and care that enables them to stay healthy, safe and live with dignity.”
