At the least expected moment EnglandPhil Foden “temporarily” abandoned the concentration in the Euro 2024 and returned to the United Kingdom due to “an urgent family matter” the Football Association confirmed on Wednesday.
English football’s governing body did not give details of the reasons for Foden’s departure.
The Manchester City striker played in Tuesday’s 0-0 draw against Slovenia.
The England team is not having a good time in the Euro. They arrived as the main candidates to win the competition and were only able to score one goal in two games, of which they won one by the minimum and the other they tied.
Foden leaving the team comes at a terrible time, because with the lack of level of the English players, the City attacker, although he does not dazzle like in the Premier League, is still considered one of the figures of the team.
