This action provoked reactions within the opposition sectors to the administration of President Andrés Manuel López Obrador (AMLO), where they recalled that during the creation of the institute —in January 20202— some problems that could arise in the operation of the service were warned. of health.
Such was the case of the candidate for the candidacy for the Presidency of the Republic for the Institutional Revolutionary Party (PRI), Enrique de la Madridwho ruled that what was approved in the Lower House was the consequence of presumed bad decisions of the federal administrationsince he argued that INSABI would not have functioned in the three years that it was in operation.

Likewise, the legislator Margarita Zavala was dissatisfied with the discussion that was taking place in the plenary session of San Lázaro, since she considered that the bench of the National Regeneration Movement (Morena) did not allow discussion about the future of the institute and automatically passed it on to the Mexican Institute of Social Security (IMSS).
“In the Chamber of Deputies they are changing INSABI and instead of making Seguro Popular, they integrate it into IMSS without discussion, without dialogue and knowing that INSABI was a disaster. Another member of the PAN bench in San Lázaro also appeared to recriminate the role that the official party has had during the years that the federal administration has been in office —since 2018—, was Jorge Triana which he described as “paying tribute to stupidity” with the disappearance of INSABI, because although he acknowledged that the cherry party would have recognized the error in creating the institute, he blamed them for allegedly having cost hundreds of lives.
