While we enjoy the different announcements and launches that are coming, Battlestate Games I was preparing Escape from Tarkov for a new update. This is a very important event for players, because it brings with it a new wipe, a map expansion, a boss, and many changes and improvements.
Let’s start with the most important: what is a wipe? This is a hard reset in which players lose their progress and much (or all) of their inventory. It is a very exciting moment, since all the players are more or less in equal footing.
Continuing with the news, Battlestate Games has announced that the Streets of Tarkov map receives an expansion. The trailer of patch 0.13.5 shows a preview of the new areas of the map and other news included in it. On the other hand, a new boss named kaban. The official description of him reads:
His size allows him to fire multiple heavy machine guns without resting, but at the same time, Kaban cannot afford to be agile and therefore remains in position or moves slowly from point to point during combat. He has a large number of well-armed guards, some of whom are ex-military who have organized a strong defense (…) Nearby Scavs help the boss with the defense and will participate in the fight for Kaban.
Finally, the patch includes significant performance improvements, menu and interface redesigns to improve the player experience, increased spawning of containers at certain points, AI improvements, weapon balances, and various other fixes. Definitely, a new beginning for Escape From Tarkov players.
