Mexico City.- Almost two weeks after suffering a blackout, President Andrés Manuel López Obrador resumed his tours to supervise the construction of the Mayan Train.

This Friday afternoon, the president led a meeting to evaluate the work in Chetumal, Quintana Roo, accompanied by members of his cabinet and Governor Mara Lezama.

The state president reported on her social networks that during the meeting the progress of sections 6 and 7 of the train, the last of the emblematic project of the Government of López Obrador, was evaluated.

“We received our president @lopezobrador_ in #Chetumal, his home. We are working on the evaluation of sections 6 and 7 of the @TrenMayaMX,” Lezama said.

“We explained the progress of the macro works that thanks to your invaluable support, and that of @GobiernoMX we are carrying out in #QuintanaRoo. #UnidosParaTransformar we have very good news that we will be sharing with you in the coming days.”

The man from Tabasco, who on the morning of Sunday, April 23, canceled a similar tour after experiencing what he described as “vaguido” associated with illnesses caused by Covid-19, will continue his tour of the southeast over the weekend.

The head of the Executive traveled to Chetumal -in a military aircraft- after leading the morning conference and a commemorative act to the Battle of Puebla, which included a two-hour parade, in the city of Puebla.
