Evil Dead Rise has done really well in cinemas and in just three weeks the film has grossed more than a billion kroner. Nice money considering that the budget for it was just under SEK 200 million and thus Evil Dead Rise has also surpassed the result from the previous Evil Dead film that was released in 2013. Fun and well-deserved while it bodes well for the future of the series. From the beginning, it was planned that the film would only be released on streaming, a decision those involved are now probably very happy that they didn’t make. Evil Dead Rise is scheduled for release on May 9th on digital platforms.
