Evolution Awards: recognition of a technological innovation connected to success

That last name that Málaga has in recent years is no coincidence. Or anything that happened suddenly. Technological Malaga is a phenomenon that has been working for many years in the province with companies specialized in the sector as well as institutions with an important role in their growth. That is why the Evolution Awards celebrate their eighth edition in 2023 in collaboration with SUR.es and BBVA to recognize the work of these consolidated and emerging initiatives in the technology sector: Airzone, Genengine, Bioherent, Checktobuild and Waisense were the protagonists of this new installment.

And the Hacienda Nadales was once again the perfect setting to celebrate these awards each summer with the sponsorship of the brand ‘Málaga, la ciudad redonda’ and the Malaga City Council, and the collaboration of Medac and Grupo Cotri. The event began with welcome words from the director of SUR, Manolo Castillo, who reflected on talent and attitude with the recent experience of Carlos Alcaraz’s triumph at Wimbledon. «No one doubts the talent that he has but precisely what made him win was not that, it was the attitude. There is something similar in all the awarded companies and teams: a lot of talent but, above all, a lot of attitude. And that’s what success is based on,” Castillo said.

The gala continued with the intervention of the director of the Malaga and Melilla area of BBVA, José María Hernández, who highlighted the importance of betting on technology and innovation to undertake. And then it was the turn of the businessman and investor from Málaga, Paco Ávila, and the presentation ‘Entrepreneurship in contexts of uncertainty’, in which he gave ten rules for success as an example.
