The future advances and technology improves. Of that there should be no doubt. Electronic devices will surely change their elements little by little until they look unrecognizable over the years. And notebooks, part of this vast universe of digital tools, are “doomed” to evolution.
Having that clear, we do not stop asking them why. Not with the intention of refuting it. Much less to oppose advances, but rather to understand the use of upcoming technology; the one that is to come.
In this sense, experts are beginning to predict that some connection ports are destined to disappear from the architecture of notebooks. It is true that the connection modes of mice, keyboards, additional screens, cameras, etc., have changed a lot in recent years.
But we’re intrigued by the advances that will make docking ports go away from laptops. Bluetooth interlocks are not the best option. Sooner or later we are always going to need hardware to bridge between devices. Then what will happen?
Connection hubs and USB4
USB4 is partly one of the reasons why some connection ports will stop coming on laptops. The architecture of this mechanism has a method for sharing a single high-speed link with multiple types of end devices dynamically. So, around here we started to save a lot of things.
Another of the predictions made by the experts of hard zone it’s that manufacturers are thinking of removing the ports and giving users the ability to buy hubs that can plug whatever is needed. It would be, for the experts, a multimillion-dollar saving.
The first port listed is the Ethernet , which we know as LAN or Local Area Connection for the Internet. “In a short time we will begin to hear about laptops with the capacity to connect to the Internet at 10 Gbps”, something that is not possible with these cables.
MicroSC cards, other types of readers and even the input for the charger, could be replaced with a USB4 and a hub that serves as a PowerBank.
