Late last week, Facebook users discovered a bug that sent out friend requests to any profile they visited that they weren’t already friends with. The bug put a damper on anyone who wanted to unobtrusively spy on new co-workers or old classmates they drifted apart from, but it also raised questions about how anonymous you are to other users on Facebook.

A spokesperson for Facebook’s parent company Meta has confirmed for The Daily Beast that the bug is now fixed and users can now return to their normal Facebook habits. If you’re worried about whether you’ve accidentally sent out friend requests, you can check by going to facebook.com/friends and then select “Friend Requests” in the left menu. In that submenu, you can then choose to see friend requests sent by you, or the bug.
