Meta, the parent company of Facebook, has announced the launch of an “AI sandbox” for its advertisers. The project consists of proposing the creation of a variety of advertisements using artificial intelligence, in order to share them on the group’s social networks, specifically Facebook and Instagram, he said. in a press release on May 11.
It is thus simply a software allowing to “manufacture” an image. It comes in three tools. First, the “textual variations”, which allow you to rewrite a text in several ways, the creations of wallpapers, which work a bit like AI image creation software (Midjourney, for example) : we enter a few words, an atmosphere, an aesthetic and the result is an image.
Finally, image “enlargement” thanks to AI: the software makes it possible to enlarge or shrink an image to make it correspond to the templates of the group’s social networks. The main selling point of this tool is of course the speed and ease of use.
AI at the heart of Meta
These tools are only the test phase of a larger project related to artificial intelligence, which Meta wants to put at the heart of its activity – to the detriment of the metaverse which it favored a year ago.
“Currently, we are working with a small group of advertisers to quickly generate feedback, which we will use to improve these products,” Meta said in its statement. This small handpicked group should grow over the year.
