He Federal Center for Conciliation and Labor Registration (CFCRL) decided to cancel the consultation with which the “Miguel Trujillo” Union of the CTM sought to legitimize the collective bargaining agreement that it has signed with the Goodyear company at its facilities in San Luis Potosí.

Workers denounced that the majority of the people who participated in the voting day of April 23 spoke out against the legitimization of the contract, “for which reason personnel from the union “Miguel Trujillo” took the ballot box from the voting area, minutes before the close of business for that day.”

It should be noted that the voting process would take place for two days, but it was suspended for this April 24; however, it no longer continued at the request of the labor authorities and observers.

It is the second time that the Goodyear union organization seeks the legitimization of the collective contract, the first was on February 26, which was canceled by the cetemista union.

On April 20, the Liga Sindical Obrera Mexicana (LSOM) filed a labor complaint against Goodyear in Mexico within the framework of the Treaty between Mexico, the United States and Canada (T-MEC); Said request was made under the Rapid Response Labor Mechanism of the USMCA to the Bureau of International Labor Affairs of the United States Department of Labor.
