Russian bombardments hit the Kherson region in Ukraine overnight from Sunday to Monday. New shots took place on Monday morning that Ukraine says it has largely neutralized.

At least one person was killed and three others injured in the night from Sunday to Monday by Russian bombardments in the Ukrainian region of Kherson, in the south of the country, the local military administration reported on Monday.

Moscow fired in the early hours of Monday new salvoes of missiles against Ukrainian cities, which Kiev forces say they have neutralized for the most part.

“The Russian army targeted residential neighborhoods in populated areas of the region, and an official building in the center of Kherson,” local military administration chief Oleksandr Prokudin said on Telegram.

“As a result of this Russian aggression, one person died and three others, including a child, were injured,” he added, adding that the city was bombed eight times in some 24 hours.

25 injured in missile attack

In the Dnipropetrovsk region, a Russian missile attack injured at least 25 people, including three children, Serhiy Lysak, a regional administration official, said on Telegram on Monday.

In the city of Pavlohrad, “19 multi-storey buildings, 25 private houses, 6 schools and preschools, as well as 5 shops were damaged”, he said in particular.

During the night from Sunday to Monday, “around 2:30 a.m.” local time (1:30 a.m. French time), Russian forces carried out a massive attack on the country, reported the commander-in-chief of the Ukrainian army Valéry Zaloujny.

“The Russian invaders attacked Ukraine with their strategic aviation” which fired “18 cruise missiles”. But 15 were able to be destroyed by the Ukrainian army, the senior military official said on Telegram.
