The Minister of Economy, Sergio Massa, and the Secretary of Commerce, Matías Tombolini, announced last Friday the continuity of the Fair Prices program, with some changes

After the announcement last Friday by the Minister of Economy, Sergio Massaand after lengthy negotiations with mass consumption companies, finally the Ministry of Commerce made official this morning the new list of products that will be part of the Fair Price basket until June, with an initial increase of 9% to then be frozen from of March.

After discussions with each of the companies to determine which products would remain in the basket and which would be replaced, finally the final consolidated list adds up to 1,915 items, of which a large part will remain, with an increase authorized in February of 9% -for then be frozen as of March- and some others will be incorporated at the prices they had up to now, that is, market values.

Commerce sent the list this morning to the Association of United Supermarkets (ASU) and to each of the chains, so that starting tomorrow they begin to apply it. In one of the companies they affirmed that between this Thursday and Friday consumers will already be able to see the new prices in the gondolas.
