The hearing begins at 9 before the Oral Criminal Court 1 of Dolores. The eight rugbiers will be present in the room and it is expected that Fernando’s parents, Silvino Báez and Graciela Sosa, will also witness the statements.

Who testifies this Tuesday in the trial by Fernando Báez Sosa
This Tuesday, during day number 12 of the trial, the testimony of Enzo Comelli’s mother, María Alejandra Guillén, is expected; Ayrton Viollaz’s mother, Erika Pizzatti; Matías Benicelli’s father, Héctor Eduardo Benicelli; and the father of Luciano and Ciro Pertossi, Mauro Pertossi.

The defense desisted from summoning Ana María Tártara, mother of Lucas Pertossi, who would thus be the only accused of whom no direct relative will testify.

It is also expected that Andrés Santiago Martín, assistant officer who intervened in the transcription of an audio of the effective Maximiliano Rosso Suárez, who assisted Fernando after the attack in front of the “Le Brique” bowling alley, should testify.

They will also testify Pablo Alberto Rodríguez Romeo, a computer expert who made technical reports on digital evidence, and María del Carmen Badaloni, head of the psychology section of the La Plata Expert Advisory.

The last expected witness is Agustín Costa Shaw, a clinical psychologist who took part in the additional criminal investigation. Shaw was offered in March 2022 by the defense, led by Hugo Tomei, as a witness in a psychological and psychiatric examination to which the defendants finally did not agree to submit due to a lack of “confidence” in the judicial process.

What happened at the hearing this Monday

After the statements given this Monday by the mothers of Máximo Thomsen and Blas Cinalli, for the twelfth day, it is expected that the others will do so on the day of the date.

“I want to apologize mainly because never, never in my life would I have thought to kill someone. I never in my life had that intention and I want to apologize,” Thomsen said between tears. He added that he hit “a kick or two, I don’t know who or where.”

Juan Pedro Guarino, one of the dismissed rugby players, also testified on Monday and accused both Thomsen and Luciano Pertossi. “I look, I see Máximo Thomsen and a boy lying on the floor, and then I find out who he was. When I saw that, I couldn’t believe it, it made me very angry, I went alone,” he said.

In his statement, Thomsen acknowledged that the Cyclone shoes that had Fernando’s blood on them were his and that he wore them on the night of the murder.

Before the court, the young man was consulted for the participation in the beating of his other friends. There the defendant did not want to name anyone. Before all the queries, the only answer was the following: “I am not going to answer about other people.”

Solidarity collection at the school Fernando attended

At the initiative of the parents of Fernando Báez Sosa, Graciela and Silvino, between today and tomorrow, from 8 to 19, they proposed to hold a solidarity collection at the Marianista de Caballito School, where the young man completed his secondary studies.

At the door of the establishment located at 25 Emilio Miter Street, “non-perishable food and school supplies” are received, which will then be donated to those most in need.
