CDMX.- The Mexico City Attorney General’s Office reported that it is investigating the crime of robbery of which Mayrín Villanueva and Eduardo Santamarina were victims.

According to the investigation, Villanueva, 52, and Santamarina, 54, were last night aboard a truck on the Peripheral Ring, Alcaldía Álvaro Obregón, when the events occurred.

Both actors left the Mexico City International Airport and boarded the unit driven by the driver of a private company.

“The complaint indicates that after driving and stopping on the aforementioned road due to a traffic light, possibly two men wearing a helmet and traveling on a motorcycle approached the vehicle with a firearm,” the Prosecutor’s Office indicated.

According to the complaint, one of the possible aggressors broke the window on the left side behind the driver where the actors were going and took away their valuables, as well as personal documents.

They immediately fled on a motorcycle.

Mayrín Villanueva and Eduardo Santamarina filed a complaint with the Territorial Investigation Prosecutor’s Office in Álvaro Obregón, where an investigation was initiated for the crime of qualified robbery committed inside the vehicle.

Staff from the Prosecutor’s Office went to carry out the corresponding procedures to find those responsible.
