The fans of final fantasy have a lot to look forward to with the release of final fantasy 16 this year and Final Fantasy VII Rebirth at a later date, but now, producer Yoshinori Kitase has even more content planned for the franchise. In a New Year’s message, Kitase mentioned that he was looking forward to making “another big announcement” about a game unrelated to Final Fantasy VII.

“There’s also another big non-Final Fantasy VII announcement that I can’t say anything about yet,” he wrote. Yoshinori Kitase. “Rest assured that we are working hard to ensure that 2023 is the most exciting year yet.”

In addition, Kitase added that the development of Final Fantasy VII Rebirth is “revving up” and that the finishing touches are being applied to Final Fantasy XVI ahead of its June 22 release. As for what the surprise announcement might be, Nvidia’s 2021 unannounced games leak has been a reliable source of information so far.

It is worth noting that although nvidia confirmed that the list was real when it was first leaked, the company also mentioned that it was used for internal testing only and that several of the games it contains do not exist.

In other Final Fantasy news, the pixel remasters of Final Fantasy I-VI are finally coming to nintendoswitch Y PlayStation. Remasters of retro NES and SNES games are currently slated for a Spring 2023 release, and for anyone looking for more immediate gratification, the recent release of Crisis Core: Final Fantasy VII Reunion has been a welcome update among the players, and it is that this is a cult classic within the well-known series of games.
