US actor Ezra Miller does not have to go to prison. He is accused of burglary and theft. He has also run into trouble with the law in Hawaii.
Los Angeles – Ezra Miller (30, “Justice League”, “Fantastic Beasts: Dumbledore’s Secrets”) has avoided a possible prison sentence.
The US actor had to answer to allegations of burglary and theft in the US state of Vermont. The competent court imposed a suspended sentence and a fine on Friday (local time), as reported by the industry journals “Variety” and “Hollywood Reporter”. In addition, Miller has to comply with regulations, including abstinence from drugs and attending therapy sessions.
Miller pleaded guilty, avoiding a possible prison sentence, according to his attorney. The charges stem from an incident last May. Miller is said to have broken into a neighboring house in Stamford (Vermont) and stolen several bottles of alcohol. The actor had previously run into trouble with the law in Hawaii for disturbing the peace at a bar.
In August, Miller said he was seeking treatment for mental health issues. He had gone through a serious crisis and wanted to apologize for his behavior.
Miller, who played the supporting actor as the superhero character Flash in films such as Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice and Justice League, most recently starred as the lightning-fast metahuman in the film The Flash, which premieres in June to come to the cinemas.
