Flash flood warning extended throughout South Florida until 8:00 p.m. Tuesday

MIAMI.- The National Weather Service in Miami extends the flash flood warning for all of northern Miami-Dade, a county located in southeastern Florida, until 8:00 pm this Tuesday, June 11.

According to the note, thunderstorms and torrential rains have been recorded in northern Miami-Dade. “Throughout the day on Tuesday, between 2 and 4 inches of precipitation fell, causing flooding of streams, highways, streets and underpasses.”

NOAA warns in its note at 4:00 in the afternoon, the possibility of additional precipitation and between 2 to 5 more inches of rain falling in the area affected by the alert.

In this context, the meteorological agency recommends residents avoid flooded areas. Do not go outside, unless it is essential to find a safe place, or you receive an evacuation order.
