The sports action of the Puerto Rico Delegation during the XXIV Central American and Caribbean Games San Salvador 2023 continues this Monday.
The Puerto Rican women’s softball team won their first match by way of a 7-0 knockout of the hosts, El Salvador. All-star pitcher Taran Alvelo was the winner with four completed innings. The second match of the group stage will be against Venezuela this Monday at 3:00 pm (1:00 pm El Salvador).
The men’s national handball team won widely, 40-18, their first match against El Salvador. In this way he opens the group stage with victory. The next game will be this Monday against Nicaragua at 3:00 in the afternoon (1:00 pm El Salvador).
In addition, the fencer Gabriela Padua finished her participation with the individual foil weapon. The Puerto Rican was winning the match 12-9.
