The environmental protection organization Greenpeace demonstrated on Wednesday morning with projections on the facade of the Humboldt Forum in Berlin-Mitte for a UN high-seas protection agreement. As the Berlin police announced, a low double-digit number of activists were involved in the action.

Among other things, Greenpeace projected images of marine life onto the facade to protest for the conclusion of a strong protection agreement in the UN conference. The background is the UN negotiations on the conclusion of a global high seas protection agreement, which are to be continued in New York from February 20th.

According to their own statements, the projections were around 30 by 10 meters in size. According to the activists, the campaign is aimed in particular at Federal Environment Minister Steffi Lemke (Greens). Greenpeace calls on the politician to work towards concluding a protection agreement. (dpa)
