The Schlager star has been campaigning for children in Africa for years. Now his family accompanied the singer and appeared together in public for the first time.

Melodic hits, party at Ballermann and always a big smile on his face: Singer Mickie Krause (52) stands for a good mood like no other and is known for heating up the party crowd properly. But the Schlager star always shows himself from a very level-headed side and is passionately committed to various heart issues. He is one of the most prominent supporters of “Fly & Help”, the foundation of entrepreneur and radio presenter Reiner Meutsch (67). “Fly & Help” supports the education of children in developing countries. And so the trained social worker Mickie has already been able to help finance four schools in African Kenya.

On the occasion of the most recent school opening on January 4th of this year, the Ballermann star did not miss it and flew to Kenya himself. This time he also had the entire family with him: Ms. Ute and their four children accompanied the native of North Rhine-Westphalia to the African continent. All together took part in the opening of the primary school in Ukunda in southern Kenya – and for the first time presented themselves as a family in public.

Schlager star Mickie Krause grants private insights

The opening of the “Mickie Krause School” is something very special for the hit star: “You can’t start the new year more beautiful and happier,” he announces euphorically under an Instagram post. And his family is also happy for the 52-year-old. “Today just experiencing this school opening, with my family – I think today was the first time that we cried together with the family. It’s another moment, a day that I will never forget,” the cheerful Rhenish nature says in private.

Few know that the “Ten Naked Hairdressers” singer leads a thoroughly middle-class life when he’s not in the spotlight. He has been married to his wife Ute for around 30 years, and they crowned their love with their children. At home in Germany, the two live with their three daughters and their baby, son Emil, in a completely normal single-family house in Mickie’s birthplace, Wettringen in North Rhine-Westphalia. There the singer can switch off and recharge his batteries.
